BD Post Cup 2015/16 – Rules

  1. Both schools share the responsibility of arranging the match, pitch and referee.
  2. The venue, date and time of the final will be arranged by the Competition Secretary.
  3. A size 4 football should be used.
  4. Each half to be thirty minutes long.
  5. As the first round is played on a mini-league basis, extra time and penalties should not be played.
  6. Group standings will be decided as follows – 1) Points 2) Goal difference 3) Goals scored. If the teams are still tied, the result between the two teams will be the deciding factor. If this was also a draw, a play-off may be necessary.
  7. In knockout and play-off matches, matches should be twenty-five minutes each way. If scores are level after full time, extra time should be played (5 minutes each way). The game should then be decided by penalties (5 each, then sudden death).
  8. If the final is drawn after extra time then the cup or trophy will be shared.
  9. All F.A. laws/rules apply to these games.
  10. A maximum of 5 substitutes to be used. Rolling subs to be allowed.
  11. Only Year Six pupils (boys and girls) may play in the 9-a-side competitions.
  12. Teams must be in the overall control of 1) A practicing teacher; 2) A past or present employee of the education service, with a full CRB, who has direct approval in writing from BDSFA to undertake such activities; 3) A person with a full CRB, L2 FA Coaching Award, written permission from BDSFA to undertake such activities and is registered with English SFA.

It is expected in Schools’ Football that all involved maintain high standards regarding fair play and sportsmanship. Please ensure that the codes of conduct for players and spectators are strictly maintained. In this way we can maintain the good reputation of Barking and Dagenham schools.
