RIPPLE PRIMARY SCHOOL won the opening BDSFA silverware of 2022-23 as they triumphed in the first Evans-Moore Cup to be held in three years with a tense 2-0 victory over Ballerz Balls League holders Valence Primary.
After heavy rain had caused a postponement to the planned Finals Day earlier in the week, the four qualifying teams returned two days later to thrash it out for the borough 7-a-side title.
Godwin and Beam were eliminated in the round robin stage, leaving the two finalists as the last men standing to determine who would represent BDSFA in the county round of the national Pokemon Cup.
And it was the Barking based school who emerged on top – their first victory in the competition and also the first time they will represent Barking & Dagenham on the county stage.
