Complaints Procedure

IN THE EVENT that any member believes they have experienced discrimination or that the Association’s Policies, Rules, or Code of Conduct have been breached, they should follow the procedure outlined below:

Reporting the Incident

The matter should be reported to the Association Secretary or another member of the Committee. The report should include:

    • A detailed account of what happened, including when and where the incident occurred.
    • The names and statements of any witnesses.
    • The names of any other individuals who may have been treated similarly.
    • Details of any previous complaints made about the incident, including dates and the names of those to whom they were reported.
    • The complainant’s preferred resolution or outcome.

Hearing the Complaint

The Association Committee will convene to hear any complaints formally submitted.

Committee Powers and Actions

Following the hearing, the Committee has the authority to:

    • Issue a formal warning regarding future conduct.
    • Suspend an individual or school from membership.
    • Remove an individual or school from membership.

These actions may be taken at the Committee’s discretion if it is found that the Association’s Policies, Rules, or Code of Conduct have been breached.
