3/12/16 – Essex Finch League

Redbridge 4-4 Barking & Dagenham

BARKING & DAGENHAM U11S HAD to settle for a point after sharing eight goals with Redbridge in their latest Essex Finch league game. A brace from Kien Connelly and a goal from Amin Karim had given the side a 3-1 advantage at the break but they needed a late Favour Fawunmi equaliser to salvage a point.

Redbridge took an early lead but Connelly levelled things up soon after. Connolly then scored again to put his side in front and Karim’s fourth goal of the season gave his side a two goal lead going into the break.

Redbridge, however, turned the game on its head with three goals in a crazy ten minute spell. All three goals could have been avoided and Barking & Dagenham found themselves behind.
However, they continued to battle and Fawunmi’s low drive drew the sides level. Both sides could have snatched the win late on but they had to settle for a point apiece.

The point just about keeps Barking & Dagenham in the title race but they will have to win in their next game against Havering on Saturday.
