Barking & Dagenham 4-1 Basildon

B.A.D. Boys 2019/20

BARKING & DAGENHAM SCHOOLBOYS got their season off to the best possible start with an impressive 4-1 victory on Saturday. Goals from Ezra Ageyekum, Tolga Ibryam, Ikay Ozoani and Mohamed Njie saw the side start the season off with a dominant victory.

The home side started well and took a well-deserved lead when Ageyekum crashed home from the edge of the box after an incisive passing move.

Doubled

The lead was soon doubled when Ibryam opened his district account with a sweetly struck effort from outside the box.

Basildon reduced the deficit, somewhat against the run of play, with a goal just before the break when Demi Sans finished well.

Barking & Dagenham continued to control proceedings in the second period, and they went further in front when Ozoani rounded off another flowing move with a neat finish.

Impressive

Njie then grabbed his first district goal as the homesters continue to impress.

They could have added further goals but were thwarted by some desperate defending and some inspired keeping.

However, they can be happy with their first outing of the season and hopes are high of a successful season after such an impressive start.
